Dates To Know - Evaluations, Opening Day, and More!

It is that time of year that we start taking over your calendar!!!

Here are dates that you will need to know:

  • Softball Evaluations (Farms and Majors, no Coach Pitch evaluations):
    • March 18, 2018, 4-9pm at NBS Core2 575 Boston Post Rd  Orange CT 06477
    • You will be notified of the specific time for your evaluation
  • Baseball Evaluations (Coach Pitch, Farms, and Majors, no Tee Ball evaluations)
    • March 25, 2018, 10a-7p at NBS Core2 575 Boston Post Rd  Orange CT 06477
    • You will be notified of the specific time for your evaluation

Other dates to remember:

  • St. Patrick's Day Parade - Saturday, March 10, 2018
  • Season Kick-Off Celebration
    • April 27, 2018, 6p-9p, $5 donation at door, Cash Bar, appetizers – Bridge House Restaurant, 49 Bridgeport Ave, Milford, CT 06460
  • Opening Day - Saturday, April 28, 2018 10-11a
    • The first ever Milford Little League Opening Day is going to be an exciting event. All baseball and softball players will come together to show our commitment to our sport and our league. Some highlights will include special guests Chaz & AJ from WPLR, Mayor Blake, and maybe even a helicopter fly over. We are expecting several hundred families to attend! Much more information to follow as we get closer to the date.

The entire board thanks your in advance for your commitment to the league. We will be following up with much more information but we wanted to get these dates to you today so you can get them on your calendars.

Baseball and Softball Registration is Open!

A quick reminder that Milford Little League baseball and softball registration is still open but please register soon as a $25 late fee will be added in March.


Registering takes only a few minutes and should be done here: www.MilfordLittleLeague.com


Our league offers play in five divisions, based on the player's "league age".


2018 Little League Age determination chart.

Tee Ball: League Ages: 4-6 

Coach Pitch: League Ages: 7-8

Farms:  League Ages: 9-10

Majors: League Ages: 11-12
Intermediate: League Ages: 12-13


Spring 2018 Registration Fees:

Regular: $140 (Late Fee of $25 starts in March)
Tee-ball Division: $75 (Late Fee of $25 starts in March)

(This is a reduced tee ball price to celebrate the merger - spread the word!)


We are expecting around 600 boys and girls playing in our league this year and we hope to have you join us. 


You will also be receiving information about the following dates:


- St. Patrick's Day Parade
- Player evaluations
- Opening day (it is going to be a BIG one this year)

Baseball Bat Information - What To Look For

Little League® International has assembled an online resource page dedicated to baseball bat information, that includes the latest bat information, current Little League Baseball rules and regulations governing bats, definition of terms, the moratorium on the use of composite bats, and a series of frequently asked questions, with answers and licensed bat lists.

Please note that as of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard will be implemented. Little League-approved baseball bats that are approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018.


Note: Tee Ball Bats


Starting on January 1, 2018, all Tee Ball bats in the Little League Baseball® Tee Ball program must feature the USA Baseball mark and accompanying text. Tee Ball bats that were produced and/or purchased prior to the implementation of the new standard can be certified using an Approved Tee Ball Sticker (available September 1, 2017) via the USA Baseball Tee Ball Sticker Program for use with approved Tee Ball baseballs for Little League play.
